Turmeric and aloe vera anti-inflammatory smoothie

Personally, and I’m sure you can relate, taking my supplements individually has been a real challenge. Lately I have been very creative with my smoothies and adding them to smoothies have been really helpful.

 

Two of the top supplements that I absolutely HAVE to take everyday are: turmeric and Aloe vera. I buy the MegaFood Daily Turmeric Booster Powder supplement simply because it is nicely flavored with fruit extracts and is simple to blend or mix in with juice and easily absorbed into the body. I am sure powdered or fresh turmeric would work just fine.

 

I started incorporating Aloe vera this year, after learning about the amazing benefits of its properties to help fight inflammation. Since then I have been taking it almost every day.  The taste is not that bad if you prefer to mix it with water. I prefer to put about 3 tbsp of aloe vera gel in my smoothie and I don’t notice it at all.

Turmeric aloe vera protein smoothie – how to make it under 5 min!

Anti-inflammation super protein turmeric smoothie

Ingredients

  • Turmeric powder. I user Megafood daily turmeric booster powder, you can use any turmeric powder you have.
  • 1/2 Banana
  • 1 Pear
  • 1 cup of cucumbers
  • 1/4 cup of orange juice - just a tiny bit to taste
  • 2 tbsp Aloe vera gel ( I also use Aloe vera juice sometimes)
  • 1 spoon of collagen protein

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients together. You can add more pure orange juice for extra sweetness if you'd like.
  2. Enjoy!
  3. Note - Choose organic ingredients whenever possible!

    I didn’t see how much turmeric powder to use.

    Can you mix turmeric powder, aloe Vera juice in water & add any fruits you have on hand?

      Hi Mary,
      I didn’t add because it is totally up to you. I personally use one scoop to 2 max (the product mentioned comes with a scoop) which is about 1 tsp to 1.5. And yess you can totally mix it with anything you want. I have tried it with just water, in carrot juice and also other type of smoothies 🙂 I also had just aloe vera and water and it’s almost tasteless.
